Obituary of Robert Baxter

Robert Baxter, Sr., age 78, of Tioga, PA died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on February 28, 1936 in Farmington Twp., a son of Franklyn L. and Laura (Shields) Baxter. He is survived by his wife, Kaye (Swift) Baxter. Robert was a field superintendent for North Penn Gas before he retired. He was a US Navy veteran; member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Hebron, PA; member of the Mason Liberty Lodge in Port Allegany, PA and the Coudersport Consistory. Robert enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and hunting Robert is survived by his wife, Kaye; a daughter, Lori (Russ Root) Baxter of Tioga, PA; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Michelle Baxter, Jr. of Carlisle, PA, Dennis and Barbara Baxter of Knoxville, TN; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Dawn Baxter of Port Allegany, PA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Delbert; and a grandson, Robert Baxter, III. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
