Obituary of Calvin B. Abplanalp

Calvin B. Abplanalp, age 57, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at his home. Born on April 22, 1957 in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of Milford and Marlene (McCarthy) Abplanalp. Calvin was predeceased by his wife, Joyce A. Abplanalp on July 12, 2011. Calvin was employed as a carpenter in the construction industry. He was a member of the Wellsboro VFW and enjoyed model rockets and golf. Calvin is survived by two stepchildren, John and Laurie; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and Jeannie Abplanalp, Chris and Diana Abplanalp, Chuck and Trudy Abplanalp, all of Wellsboro, PA; one sister, Linda Kriner of Wellsboro, PA; one sister-in-law, Leona, of Pine Valley, NY; five grandchildren and a good friend and caregiver, Julie Sherman of Wellsboro, PA. In addition to his parents and wife, Calvin was also predeceased by a brother, Milford "Craig" Abplanalp. Services will be private. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 637 S.
