Obituary of Paul H. Butler

Paul H. Butler, age 84, of Tioga, PA, died on Monday, April 27, 2015 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Thelma M. (Heck) "Peanny" Butler on Jan. 17, 2012. Born on February 4, 1931 in Elmira, NY, Paul was the son of Juney W. and Emma (Herrington) Butler. Paul was self-employed as a logger, owned and operated a Portable Saw Mill and was retired from Corning Glass Works. He enjoyed woodworking, singing, playing music (banjo, harmonica and several other instruments) and enjoyed the outdoors. Paul is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and JoAnn Butler of Bebe, AR, Albert and Lisa Butler of Lexington, SC; four daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen and Darwin McCombs of Tioga, PA, Judy and Donald Leister of Lynchburg, VA, Karen and Tony Maio of Corning, NY, Christal Tew of Corning, NY; one brother and sister-in-law, Ernest "Mike" and Martha Butler of Tioga, PA; one sister, Joyce Borden of Cheyenne, WY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Peanny, he was also predeceased by two sons, Jeffrey Butler in 1987, Gregory Butler on March 15, 2007, an infant daughter, Emma Jean Butler and a brother, David. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 1, 2015 from Noon to 2:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Steven Neff officiating.
