Obituary of Phyllis Baker

Phyllis Jean Baker, a lifelong resident of Osceola, PA, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Sue Vogler. She was 3 days short of celebrating her 93th birthday. Her life was filled with her family and friends and doing as she damned well pleased. She was born March 23, 1923, the daughter of Winfred and Ethel Croft. She was predeceased by 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She was the wife of Jack Palmer Baker. They were married for 62 years, when he died December 15, 2005. She is survived by her 3 children, Timothy (Marilyn) Baker of Warwick, RI, Samuel (Sandra) Baker of Rural Hall, NC, and Martha Sue (Jon) Vogler of Wellsboro, PA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors too numerous to count. At her request there will be no funeral services. Those wishing to honor Phyllis's memory may donate to Susquehanna Health Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701; Osceola Fire Company, 7654 Route 49, Osceola, PA 16942; or Osceola Presbyterian Church, 104 Church St, Osceola, PA 16942. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Osceola, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
