Obituary of Deloris Borden

Deloris "Dee" Borden, age 85, of Wellsboro, PA, formerly of Mansfield, PA, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Dee was born February 26, 1931 in Tunkhannock, PA, a daughter of Simon and Della (Moses) Kitchnefsky. She was the married to the late Stanley Borden. Dee was the former owner/operator of the X-trail Restaurant in Mansfield and worked at Eddie's Truck Stop. She was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church, Mansfield, PA where she was very active as a housekeeper; member of the Ladies Guild; prepared many meals at the church; and worked bingo. Dee enjoyed crafting, gardening, housekeeping, traveling to New York City to see plays, and taking pride in her beautiful yard. Dee is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Cassandra Borden of Spencerport, NY; 2 sisters, Betty Kitchnefsky of Laceyville, PA, and Ann Rounsville of Bath, NY; a special niece, Janet Mathews of Cohocton, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, brothers, Anthony, John, Charles, William and Edward; sisters, Margaret and Verna. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Child Catholic Church, 237 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA with Rev. Bryan Wright as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery, Blossburg, PA.
