Obituary of Hazel C. Hutcheson

Hazel C. Hutcheson, age 92, of Millerton, PA, formerly of Mansfield/Covington area, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her home. She was born October 28, 1923 in Boydton, VA, a daughter of Junius and Esther (Bray) Carlton. Hazel was the wife of the late Hildreth N. Hutcheson. She was a full time housewife and a member of the Covington Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshiping, singing in the church choir, and taught Sunday school for over 40 years. Her favorite hobbies were reading, baking, and caring for her family. Hazel is survived by 6 sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry of Fountain Hills, AZ, William of LasVegas, NV, Richard of Fountain Hills, AZ, Carl (Cindy) of Millerton, PA, Robert of LasVegas, NV, and Daniel of Bath, NY; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bidwell Carlton of Boydton, VA, Stanley (Carol) Carlton of Clarksville, VA, Maynard (Caroline) Carlton of Lancaster, SC; a sister, Irma June Rickman of Lancaster, SC; 15 grandchildren, Lawrence Paul Hutcheson, Leslie Lepisoto, Cameron Hutcheson, Shannon Hutcheson, Mark Hutcheson, Heather Soufan, Heidi Fink, Angie Landis, Mathew Hutcheson, Michael Hutcheson, Teresa DeGarmo, Lyndsey Hutcheson, Melissa Sullivan, Cody Hutcheson, and Tyler Hutcheson; 24 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; a grandson, Jeffery Hutcheson, sisters, Jewel VanDruff and Marguerite Hodder, brother, Norman Carlton, and a daughter-in-law, Josie Hutcheson. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Covington Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Ted Rood officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp.
