Obituary of John C. Schmidt

John C. Schmidt, age 64, of Middlebury Ctr., formerly of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2018. He was born on September 21, 1953 in Phoenixville, PA, son of Charles and Pearl (Evans) Schmidt. John was the husband of Jacque L. (Billman) Schmidt.

He is survived by his wife, Jacque; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Heather; a daughter-in-law, Rosie; two grandchildren, Eleanor and Charlie, his sister Kathy, and his mother Pearl. John was preceded in death by his father, Charles and a son Shawn.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Huxley Gun Club and a Social Member of the Valley Forge Fire Company. 

The funeral will be Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 am at Valley Forge Baptist Church, 1701 Valley Forge Road, Valley Forge, PA 19481. Interment will be private.  Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
