Obituary of Susan Strassburg

Susan Strassburg, age 71, of Covington, PA, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Golf Coast Medical Ctr., Fort Myers, FL. She was the born on December 3, 1946 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Andrew and Corlyn (Bonnell) Lisowski. Susan was the wife of Horst Strassburg. She was employed by Southern Tioga School District as an English Teacher and finished her career as a Curriculum Coordinator. Susan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Phi Kapa Delta, and Wednesday morning coffee club at the Brick Tavern. She was a Mahjong Instructor. She enjoyed spending her winters with her friends in Pine Island Cove, FL.

She is survived by her husband, Horst; a son, James (Amanda West) Unangst of Troy, PA; five grandchildren, Brooke Unangst, Annabel Strange, Ryan Unangst, Cyrus Unangst, Jayce Isaacson; two brothers, Michael (Mary) Lisowski of Watkins Glen, NY, Peter (Jane) Lisowski of Covington, PA; a nephew ,Tyler Lisowski. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Lisowski.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10AM to Noon at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA 16933. A memorial mass will immediately follow at Noon with Rev. Bryan Wright as celebrant.
