Obituary of Edna R. Chamberlain

Edna R. Chamberlain, age 95, of Covington, PA, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was born January 18, 1923 in Sullivan Twp., a daughter of Wilmot and Diantha (Ashley) Purvis. Edna celebrated 66 years of marriage to Olin L. Chamberlain who passed away on January 4, 2008. Together they founded Chamberlain's Bus Service and operated the business for 50 years. Edna was a member of the Mainesburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, farming and driving bus. Edna is survived by 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Carol of Covington, PA, Le (Ellen Neese) of Surfside, SC, and David Chamberlain of Wayland, NY; a son-in-law, Roger Smith of Mansfield, PA; a sister, Esther Cook of Rochester, NY; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Smith in 2015; a daughter-in-law, Barb Chamberlain in 2008; a granddaughter, Kary Chamberlain in 1994; a grandson, Wade Chamberlain in 2016. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with her nephew, Rev. Tim Chamberlain officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mainesburg United Methodist Church, 100 Smith Park Rd., Mainesburg, PA 16932.
