Obituary of Ann Anderson

Ann Eloise Anderson passed away peacefully at Sylvan Ridge Personal Care Home on Wednesday November 26, 2008. Eloise was born April 29, 1921 in Leroy, Pa., the daughter of Rena and Howard Wooster. Her survivors include her daughter Susan (Richard) Calkins Venice, Florida, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, a sister Barbara Cobb and an aunt Dorothy Traver both of Towanda, Pa, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Leon, brother; William Wooster and her parents. Eloise graduated from Towanda High School in 1938. She and her husband Leon enjoyed attending their class reunions and traveling to antique car shows. Eloise worked at the Sylvania plant, in Troy and later at the Towanda plant retiring after 29 years of service. In retirement she enjoyed traveling with her dear friend Ruth Rathbun and her fellow GTE Sylvania friends. She was an avid bowler, bowling well into her 80s. Eloise was inducted into the Terrace Lanes Bowlers Hall of Fame in 2001. The past 4 years she has been a guest at the Sylvan Ridge Personal Care Home in Troy. A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the East Troy Methodist Church in Eloises memory.
