Obituary of Grace L. Lappa

Grace L. Lappa, age 97, of Galeton, PA passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on April 6, 1923 in Galeton, PA, a daughter of Louis and Nicoletta (Caferelli) Piaquadio. Grace was the wife of the late Domenick J. Lappa who died in 1989. She worked in the Supply Departments at Galeton Production Plant and Truck-Lite Company. Grace was devoted to her family and enjoyed shopping and visiting with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Bibiana's Catholic Church in Galeton. Grace is survived by her daughter Nikki Berkowitz of Endwell, NY along with grandchildren Jeremy and Eric Berkowitz. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. In honoring Grace's wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made in Grace's name to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA, 16946. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
