Obituary of Norene A. Burrows

Norene A. (Bartlett) Burrows, age 89, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Rose View Nursing Home in Williamsport, PA following declining health. She was born on June 1, 1931 in Tioga County, PA, a daughter of Ernest and Dorotha (Wilcox) Bartlett. Norene was the wife of the late Wayne Burrows who preceded her in death on July 1, 2006 after 55 years of marriage. She was a homemaker who provided childcare in her home and raised foster children. Norene is survived by her son, Joseph R. (Debra) Burrows of Osceola, PA; daughter Amy L. (James) Nichols of Wellsboro, PA; brother David (Kay) Bartlett of Millerton, PA; grandchildren Justin Burrows and Bryan Smith; step grandchildren Jamie Ball and Jackie Ball, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; brother, Carl; sisters, Jean Slater, Marian Hagar, Elizabeth Jones, Winifred Bartlett and Ernestine Boom; brother-in-law William Burrows and grandson Curtis Burrows. In accordance with Norene's wishes, there will be no services. Those wishing to make a donation in Norene's memory may do so to the charity of one's choice. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga, PA. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
