Obituary of Gerald E. Wood

Gerald E. Wood, age 86, of Dundee NY, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in Conway, SC. Gerald was born May 29, 1921 in Lycoming County, PA, a son of Eveard and Mildred Wood. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Sadler) Wood. Gerald retired from Corning Glass, Wellsboro, PA. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Wellsboro, PA, and enjoyed hunting and shooting pool. Gerald was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in WWII. Gerald is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Ruth Wood of Pinon Hills, CA, Barry and Sally Wood of Chenango Forks, NY, Danny and Donna Wood of Raleigh, NC, Alan and Melinda Wood of Willseyville, NY, Dennis and Beth Wood of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Connie Wood of Festus, MO; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp.
