Obituary of Morton Lackey Talley

Morton Lackey Talley III, age 90, of Covington, PA, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 10, 1931 in West Chester, PA, the son of Morton and Elsie (Montgomery) Talley, Jr. Morton and his wife, Glenda (Miller) Talley, would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on December 12, 2022. He worked as an excavator for Smedley Co. in Chadds Ford, PA. Morton was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church where he was the head Deacon. He enjoyed smoking his pipe with Prince Albert tobacco and reading history. Morton is survived by his wife; two sons, Christopher (Denise) Talley of Mansfield, PA, and Curtis Talley of Mansfield, PA; two daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Talley-Tuel of Downingtown, PA, and Cathleen Hunter of Pleasant Hill, MO; six grandchildren, Caitlyn, Devin, Brenna, Ashley, Morgan, and Derrick; and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
