Obituary of Audrey H. Bowen

Audrey H. Bowen, age 88, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 2, 2022. She was born on December 10, 1933 in Hamilton Twp., PA, a daughter of Hugh and Beryl (Meyers) Kendrick. Audrey was married to the late Ransom "Ranny" H. Bowen. She was a retired custodian for Wellsboro School District and a member of Cherry Flats Baptist Church. Audrey's passion was caring for others. Audrey is survived by three sons, Rick L. (Charlotte) Bowen of Greeley, CO, Ransom "Rance" W. Bowen of Wellsboro, PA, and Russell D. (Nancy) Bowen of Towanda, PA; a daughter, Rene J. (Freal) Perry of Gaines, PA; three grandchildren, Carly (Gary) Bowen-Clark, Allie Bowen, and Chase Bowen; and one great grandchild, Dru Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ranny Bowen; a grandson, Clint Perry; a brother, Elwin Kendrick; a sister, Wanda Shanley; and a daughter-in-law Crystal Bowen. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Wellsboro Social Club 127 Kelsey St. Wellsboro, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary 725 Gee Rd. Tioga, PA 16946 or UPMC Hospice of Central PA.
