Obituary of Edward J. Modrzejewski

Edward J. Modrzejewski, age 75, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. He was born on April 22, 1947 in Emsdentten, Germany, the son of John and Janet Modrezejewski. Edward was married to Elaine "Liz" (Bennett) Modrzejewski and would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 18, 2023. He worked as a mechanic for Ward Manufacturing for 42 years and was a member of Holy Child Parish. Edward was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Hillside Rod & Gun Club, and Arnot Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing, four wheeling, mowing the grass, rides in the sunshine, and playing with the grand dogs. Edward is survived by his wife; a son, Craig (Laurie) Modrzejewski of Mechanicsville, MD; a daughter, Krista (Benjamin) Morley of Zionsville, PA; five grandchildren, Tyler, Jenna, Callie, Kate, and Luke; and his grand dog, Stuart. He was preceded in death by two grand dogs, Porter and Lincoln. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 2-4pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 4pm with Reverend Bryan Wright officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Morris Run, PA.
