Obituary of Edwin George

Edwin George, age 62, of Wellsboro, PA, died at his home on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born on October 13, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, to Philip and Kathleen (Hoff) George. Edwin was a musician, playing the bagpipes and other wind instruments. He and his wife shared a gardening business. After retiring to Wellsboro in 2008, Edwin enjoyed gardening, carpentry, volunteering at the Wellsboro Area Food Pantry. Edwin is survived by his wife, Karen; sisters, Hannah (Kevin) McCarthy of Glen Mills, PA, Emma (Thomas) Terndrup of Franklin, TN, and Sarah (Thomas) Figuera of Lawrenceville, NJ; brother, Simon George of Chazy, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Francis. In accordance with Edwin's wishes, there will be no services.
