Obituary of Kenneth R. Parthemer

Kenneth "Kenny" R. Parthemer, age 60, of Blossburg, PA, passed away at UPMC Williamsport Hospital. He was born on October 5, 1962 in Harrisburg, PA, a son of Rodrick P. Parthemer and Faye (Wise) Hilfiger. Kenny was married to the late Tammy S. Parthemer who passed away on June 2, 2022. He was self-employed as a farmer and was a member of Evangelical Wesleyan Church. Kenny enjoyed chess, horseback riding, horse training, rodeos, tractor pulls, hoof trimming, board games, Southern Gospel, reading the newspaper, and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenny is survived by his mother, Faye Hilfiger of Mansfield, PA; three sons, Kenny Parthemer, Jr. of Morris Run, PA, James Robert Parthemer of Morris Run, PA, Jonathan Parthemer of Blossburg, PA; two daughters, Meghan Harer of Covington, PA, and Rachel Parthemer of Brooklyn, NY; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Rodrick (Susan) Parthemer, Jr. of Wellsboro, PA, Keith (Donna) Parthemer of Hunt, NY, and Randy Parthemer of Cochranton, PA; and two sisters, Debbie (Dave) Johnston of Mansfield, PA, and Donna West of McClure, PA. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6-8pm and on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 11am-12pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 12pm with Pastor Bill Baker officiating. Burial will take place in Gray Cemetery in Covington, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
