Obituary of Betsy Driebelbies

Betsy F. Driebelbies, age 83, of Mansfield, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born on May 10, 1940, in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Kenneth French and Mary (Hurlburt) Valentine. Betsy was the wife of the late H. John Driebelbies, with whom she shared 57 years of matrimony before his death on December 30, 2021. She spent most of her career as a librarian. She had been employed by the federal government, Asaph fish lab, Mergenthaler, and, most recently, the Mansfield Free Public Library. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Betsy is survived by her three sons, Vincent Driebelbies of Wellsboro, PA, John (Ruby) Driebelbies of Wellsboro, PA, and Tony (Caryn) Driebelbies of FL; a daughter, Barbara Louden of Wellsboro, PA; six grandchildren, Samantha, Pat (Chelsea), Megan (Ben), Erin, Ryan (Alicia), and Dixie (Mike); six great grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony, Melanie, Missy, Arlo, and Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
