Obituary of Virginia Young

Virginia "Ginnie" (Gleason) Young, age 85, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on September 5, 1938, in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Raymond and Lilaha (Southard) Gleason. Virginia was married to the late Floyd "Junie" Young, with whom she spent 68 very devoted years. She enjoyed playing cards, country music, and square dancing with the local bands, but most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her kitty Rascal. Virginia is survived by her sons, Floyd (Cathy) Young III of Mansfield, PA, and Howard (Jane) Young of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Becky (John Grover) Cummings of Mansfield, PA; six grandchildren, Floyd Young IV of Blossburg, PA, Misty (A.J.) Brown of Millerton, PA, Aaron (Annette) Young of Mansfield, PA, Ryan (Jessica) Young of Florida, Kelly Zettle of Dubois, PA, and Kasey (Pete) Terzella of Syracuse, NY; fourteen great grandchildren, Rose, Thomas, Dillian, Charles, Chris, Sharley, Cynthia, Ella, Parker, Alex, Nicholas, Cameron, Megan, and Arya; and brother, Maynard "Flip" Gleason of Wellsboro, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband; stepmother Iris Gleason; brothers, Raymond Gleason, Jr. and Desmond Gleason; sisters, Helen Stout, Patricia Webster, Connie Marble, and Claudia Marble; infant brother Howard Gleason, and infant sister Joyce Gleason. In honoring Virginia's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place in Middlebury Union Cemetery in Keeneyville, PA. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S.
