Obituary of Raymond Chester Mackiewicz

Raymond Chester Mackiewicz, age 84, of Lawrenceville, PA, formerly of Millerton, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his home. He was born on September 8, 1939 in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of Charles and Theresa (Grudzinski) Mackiewicz. Raymond was raised in Liberty, PA. He was married to Carol (Runyan) Mackiewicz. Raymond was an analyst for the NSA and attended Mosherville Baptist Bible Church. He enjoyed golf, playing baseball, cutting the grass, being outdoors, and was a New York Giant's fan since the 50s. Raymond was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Raymond is survived by his wife; two stepsons, Scott (Cynthia) Blanchard of Dayton, TX, and Kent Blanchard, Sr. of Lawrenceville, PA; five grandsons; seven great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Kiefer and Eleanor Frey. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 2-3pm at Mosherville Baptist Bible Church 9914 Coryland Rd. Gillett, PA. A memorial service will follow at 3pm with Pastor Ted Rich officiating. A meal will be provided by the church following the memorial service.
