Obituary of Geraldine L. Worden

Geraldine L. "Jerri" Worden, age 94 formerly of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Green Home in Wellsboro. Geraldine was born June 10, 1930 in Sullivan Township, PA, a daughter of Aaron and Margaret (Webster) Smith. Jerri was a single mom of 4 children and raised them on the family farm. She also worked at the Waren L. Miller Elementary School cafeteria. Later, she moved to Florida and was a housekeeper for many years. Jerri is survived by her sons, David (Jackie) Worden of Moscow, PA, Daniel (Cathy) Worden of Troy, PA, and Douglas (Cathy) Worden of Winter Haven, FL; daughter Diane (Timothy) Tice of Troy, PA; brothers Wilbur (Carolyn) Smith of Wellsboro, PA, Kenneth (Nancy) Smith of Mainesburg, PA, Theodore (Alice) Smith of Old Towne, FL, and Chester Smith of Mainesburg, PA; sisters Elizabeth Rice of Fl and Juanita (Arthur) Meixel of Williamsport, PA; 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ellsworth, Wendell, and Roger Smith, sister Marion, and step grandson Jeff Seelye. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA.
