Obituary of Thomas E. Tice

Thomas E. Tice, age 89, of Mansfield, PA, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Tom was born February 22, 1919 in Mainesburg, PA, a son of Harry and Goldie (Griffin) Tice. He was the husband of Ruth E. (McKay) Tice for 67 years. Tom was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ (Disciples). He was a lifelong farmer. Tom is survived by his wife, Ruth; three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas G. and Linda A. Tice of Mansfield, PA, David W. and Mary Tice of Mansfield, PA Jack L. and Joyce Tice of Boise, Idaho; three daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara A. and Phil Parker of Tioga, PA, Linda M. Tice of Mansfield, PA, Sandy L. Tice of Rutland, VT; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; two sisters, Helena VanHorn of Troy, PA, Betty Lou of Canton, PA. Tom was predeceased by a daughter, Ruthadele Smith, and a grandson, Shane Michael Smith. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday with the Pastor Dave Dressler officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Co. Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp., Mansfield, PA.
