Obituary of Joseph L. Mattis

Joseph L. Joey Schmoe Mattis, III, age 33, of Wellsboro, PA, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at his home. Joey was born July 10, 1975 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Joseph Jr. and Constance (Smith) Mattis. Joey was a self-employed logger and tree trimmer. He enjoyed miniature golf, garage and masonry work and tinkering. Joey is survived by his father, Joseph Mattis, Jr. of Wellsboro, PA; three sisters, Trina Pope of Osceola, PA, Marie Shelman of Westfield, PA and Brenda Mattis of Wellsboro, PA; three nieces, Christina, Jersey, Ashley and a grand niece, Riley; one grand nephew, Jeremy. He was predeceased by his mother, Constance Mattis in 2002. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial luncheon at the Tioga County Fairgrounds Building on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. The Jacquelyn A.
