Obituary of Ralph B. Snyder

Ralph B. Snyder Sr., age 81, of Tioga, PA, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Pauline E. Snyder who died on June 11, 2003. Ralph was born on October 26, 1927 in Borden, NY, a son of Leland and Lottie (Carson) Snyder. He was employed by Corning Glass for 30 years. Ralph was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, the American Legion, and a WWII USCG Merchant Marine. His favorite hobbies were hunting with his Red Bone Coon Hounds, raising coon dogs, and fishing. Ralph is survived by three sons and daughters -in-laws, Ralph Ben Jr. and Patti Snyder of Lindley, NY, Randy and Carol Snyder of Sebastian, FL, Gregory Snyder of Sebastian, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Bob McPherson of Newton, NC, and a sister Myra Newland of Venice, FL. Ralph was preceded in death by three brothers Marvin, Richard, and Raymond Snyder. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, April 16, 2009 from noon till 2 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 2 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Joseph McNamara officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga, PA.
