Obituary of Laura F. Beals

Laura F. Beals, age 81, of Troy, PA, formerly of Mansfield and Blossburg, PA, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Laura was born December 24, 1927 in Royal Oak Twp., NY, a daughter of John R. and Sarah (Neal) Kenyon. She was the wife of the late Gordon L. Beals. She retired from Mansfield Universitys Housekeeping Dept. Laura loved her grandchildren, oil painting, crocheting, and water color painting. Laura is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lorene Beals, Daniel and Bonnie Beals, all of Roseville, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Larry Keltz of Bartlett, TN; a brother, Jack Kenyon of Mansfield, PA; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; three brothers, Robert, William and Merle Kenyon; a sister, Ruth Comfort; and a special friend, Paul Sims. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Dressler officiating.
