Obituary of Emmaline Baity

Emmaline Baity, age 76, of Covington, PA, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Dean C. Baity who died on March 26, 1999. Emmaline was born on April 12, 1933 in Blossburg, PA a daughter of Roy and Daisy (Cowan) Lee. Emmaline was a farmers wife for 47 years and a member of the Holstein Club. Emmaline and her husband received many exhibitor Awards at local and district Holstein shows, Dairy of Distinction in 1989, and a Century Farm Award in 1976. She had been employed by the former McCrorys and WalMart, both in Mansfield. Emmaline was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church. Emmaline is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Lee B. and Robert D. Tomko of Covington, PA, Eileen and Joe Thompson of Mansfield, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sheri Baity of Covington, PA; four grandchildren, Ashley Reese, Daren Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Jamie Kouba, and two great granddaughters, Jessica and Emilee; a brother, Thomas Lee of Covington, PA, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Glenn Glidewell of Montoursville, PA, Carl Mitchell of Covington, PA, Patricia and William Gardner of Enola, PA, Dorothy Chamberlain of Lawrenceville, PA, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, and a brother, James Lee. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 5th, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Sherry Good and the Rev. A. Michele Somerville officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery.
