Obituary of Leah May MaKinster

Leah May MaKinster Leah M MaKinster, 68, of Wellsboro, formerly of Pittsburgh PA, died September 26th, 2010. She was the wife of the late Walter H. MaKinster. She was the daughter of the late Lester E. Garland and Estelle May Garland of Chicago, IL. Leah was a book keeper and a school teacher as well as an active member of Glenshaw Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 30 years and a Deacon. She enjoyed her grandchildren, Nascar racing, Penn State football and had a love of books. Surviving are her sons, James (Jeanine Ferrence) MaKinster of Waterloo, NY, and Michael (Joanna) MaKinster, of Atlanta GA; daughter, Amy (Jim) Burkhart of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Jake and Josh Burkhart of Pittsburgh, Aidan, Madeline and Drew MaKinster of Waterloo NY and our extended family Nancy Brooks, Wendy, Joe and John Barr of MA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 9, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Oregon Hill Grace Chapel in Morris PA with Rev. Lon Williams officiating, friends and family welcome. Burial in Antrim Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shaler North Hills Library, 1822 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116 or Green Free Library, 134 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901. The Jacquelyn A.
