Obituary of Wilford E. Cleveland

Wilford E. "Bill" Cleveland, age 89, of Wellsboro, PA, formerly of Mansfield, PA, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. He was born June 7, 1925 in Mansfield, PA a son of Alfred J. and Zula D. (Smith) Cleveland. Bill was a retired mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. He was the widow of Frances (Hall) Cleveland who died April 24, 1994. Bill was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking and was a model train enthusiast. Bill was a Sgt. in the Army Air Corps serving during WWII and the Korean War. Bill is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia Golas of Liberty, PA, Terry Cleveland of Mansfield, PA; a brother, Stuart Cleveland of NC; 2 grandchildren, Kevin Golas and Rhianon Magana; 4 great grandchildren, Liam, Brandon and Rian Golas, and Oriana Staats; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances; a brother, Don Cleveland; 2 sisters, Lucile Rhoades and Mary Bixby. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Ed Trask officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA.
