Obituary of Walter Missel

Walter Missel, age 89, of Tioga, PA, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his home. Walter was born September 21, 1921 in North New Jersey, a son of Ludwick and Bertha (Renn) Missel. He was a tool and die maker for American Can Co. before his retirement. Walter was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Tioga, and the American Legion Post # 0235, Tioga. He was an Army Air Corps veteran. Walter is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Carol Missel of Tioga; a daughter-in-law, Diane Missel of Rock Hill, SC; granddaughter, Jennifer Missel; a great grandson, Malcolm; three step grandchildren, and eleven step great grandchildren; a sister, Edith Kosciuch. Walter was predeceased by his wife, Alberta, a son, Walter Missel, Jr., and a brother, Frederick Richard Missel. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church at a later date.
