Obituary of Janice L. Wilson

Janice L. (Hoffman) Wilson, age 78, of Mansfield, PA, died on Monday, April 26, 2010 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Janice was born on September 28, 1931 in Sylvania, PA, the daughter of Leonard and Burnest (Durfee) Hoffman. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Junior Wilson on November 2, 1995. Prior to her retirement in 1997, Janice was employed with the Mansfield Penny-Saver coordinating layouts for ads. She was a member of the Mansfield Women's Chorus, the Arnot Sportsmen's Club and the Wellsboro Vets Club. Janice was an avid dancer. She also enjoyed working the voting tables on election days. Janice is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Michael and Violet Wilson of Tioga, PA, Mark Lewis and Jeanette Crews Wilson of Mansfield, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and David Webster of Tioga, PA, Tammy and Robert Calkins of Troy, PA; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; two special cousins, Alice Schucker and Annis Gustin of Troy, PA and a special friend, Leonard Gee of Covington, PA. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was also predeceased by a brother, Richard Dale Hoffman. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 6 PM to 8 PM and Friday, April 30, 2010 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Friday immediately following calling hours at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Ira Hindman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice's name to the Covington Church of Christ, Rt. 15, Covington, PA 16917.
