Obituary of Harold Jackson

Harold Jackson, age 92, of Mainesburg, PA, died on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home. Born on April 22, 1918 in Mainesburg, PA, Harold was the son of Cecil and Myrtle (Cleveland) Jackson. He was predeceased by his wife, Ina (Lathrop) Jackson. He was self-employed as a farmer since 1943 and was a member of the Bakerburg Community Church. Harold is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Joan Jackson, Robert and Peggy Jackson, Duane and Mary Jackson, all of Mainesburg, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Jack Rasmussen of Corning, NY, Mary and Alfred Sparling of Troy, PA; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Helen Lathrop, a sister-in-law, Ema Warner; 17 grandchildren: Kevin (Leeann) Jackson, Sharon (Jason) Johnson, Steve (Alyshia) Jackson, Kim Rasmussen, Kelly (Whayne) Morris, Brian (Betsy) Sparling, Barry (Devin) Sparling, Deanna (Dale) Bendig, Darla (Johnathon) Storch, Danielle (Rodney) VanNoy, Sara Jackson and fiance, John, Chad Jackson, Mindy (Steve) Tice, Suzanne (Terry) Vanderlinder, Sharon, Rodgers, Ben Rodgers and Ashley Rodgers; 32 great grandchildren: Mindy, Jeremy, Taylor, Victoria, Nathaniel, Daina, Aleiah, Aladen, Aleise, Alaina, Jarrett, Brent, Tyler, Kati, Rachael, Aaron, Mitchel, Brady, Abagail, Kate, Lucas, Noah, Dillon, Michael, Corey, Kyle, Seth, Cameron, Destiny, Ethan, Ella and Izzy; caretakers, Sally, Lynne, Chris, Mindy, Kathy and Paula and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Ina, he was also predeceased by a brother, Warren Jackson; two sisters, Eva Jackson and Ruth Adel Vosick and three grandchildren: Jackie, Joey and Timmy. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 6:00 PM at the funeral chapel with Pastor Dave Dressler's Assistant Pastor, Paul Terre-Blanche officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
