Obituary of Russell C. Marvin

Russell C. Marvin, age 75, of Covington, PA, died on Friday, September 3, 2010 in Broad Acres Health & Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Russell was born on April 26, 1935 in Blossburg, PA, the son of the late Russell and Lottie (Jaquish) Marvin. Russell was a co-owner of Marvins Market of Covington until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Covington Church of Christ Disciples and served as a church deacon. Russell is survived by his brother, Richard (Joanne) Marvin; two nieces, Sara (Michael) Lord of Selinsgrove, PA, Jan Marvin of Covington, PA; one cousin, Dorothy Michaels of Blossburg, PA and the family companion dog, Jake. In addition to his parents, Russell was predeceased by a cousin, Duane Smith. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, September 6, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA and from 10:30 AM to 11 AM on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Covington Church of Christ Disciples, Covington, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at the church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ira Hindman officiating. Burial will be in Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA.
