Obituary of Ruth L. Welch

Ruth L. Welch, age 82, of Mainesburg, PA, died on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Ruth was born October 8, 1928 in Wellsburg, NY, a daughter of Norris and Viada (Voorhees) Sours. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Welch. Ruth was a homemaker, a member of the Mainesburg United Methodist Church and an avid reader. Ruth is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, June and Curt Smith and Paula and Steve Bennett, all of Mainesburg, PA; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Elwin Shumway of Geneva, NY, and Rose and Bill Long of Long Island, NY. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Baker officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to the Alzheimers Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
