Obituary of Lois K. Wandell

LOIS KAY (CAREY) WANDELL, age 68, formerly of Mansfield and a resident of the Bradford County Manor in Troy, PA until her illness, died August 27th, 2011 at the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was born July 30, 1943 in Blossburg, PA a daughter of Gorden Glenn & Dorothy (McDermott) Carey. Lois, also known as Tiny, worked many jobs as a factory worker for Keystone Manufacturing in Covington, Custodian at Mansfield University to the kitchen at Eddies Restaurant in Mansfield, before retiring. Lois is survived by three daughters, LuAnn (Kevin) Cummings of Tioga, PA; Carla Wandell Fessler of Fredericksburg, VA; Patricia (John) Nowakowski of Blossburg, PA; six grandchildren; Jason, Justin and Stuart Cummings, Krystal Hess, Victoria and Chad Fessler; four great grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Cummings, Hailey and Karley Hess; six sisters, Beverly Cohick, Margaret Davis, Donna Peffer, Carol Chamberlain, Glenda Sherant, Karen Harbold; one brother, Richard Carey. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Carey and a sister, Debra Herlocher. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
