Obituary of Marjorie Mae Cummings

Marjorie Mae Cummings, age 73, of Mansfield, PA died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at her home. Marjorie was born July 2, 1938 in Addison, NY, a daughter of Chester and Effie (VanSile) DeKay. She was the wife of the late William Cummings. Marjorie was a retired Residential Manager for Martha Lloyd. Marjorie was a member of the Bakerburg Community Church; a social member of the V.F.W.; enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. Marjorie is survived by a son, William Cleland of Swain, NY; two daughters and sons-in-law, Fawn and Larry Short of Cameron, NY, Cheryl and Doug DeWalt of Mainesburg, PA; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Charlotte DeKay of Addison, NY, Joseph and Kathy DeKay of Cameron, NY; Scott and Bonnie DeKay of Cameron, NY; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Patricia Wilcox of Bath, NY, Judy and Howard Sprague of Midland, TX; her fianc, Ernie Holley of Mainesburg, PA; several step-children and step-grandchildren. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, William Cummings, a son, Kelvin Cleland in 1992, and a brother, James DeKay. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 P.M. on Friday with Pastor Dave Dressler officiating.
