Obituary of Richard Frederick Broadfield

Richard Frederick Broadfield, age 65, of Tioga, PA, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at his home. Richard was born on December 9, 1946 in Blossburg, PA, the son of Henry and Ruth (Baker) Broadfield. Prior to his retirement, Richard was self employed for more than 20 years as a painter with previous employment in manufacturing with Harding Brothers in Horseheads, NY. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with his dog, Morris. Richard is survived by a brother, Edward Broadfield of Catawissa, PA; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Broadfield of Tioga, PA, and one niece, Reba Broadfield of Catawissa, PA. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from Noon to 2:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2:00 PM at the chapel with Rev. Maxine Mills officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel to assist with expenses.
