Obituary of Henry Guss

Henry Guss, age 80, of Mansfield, PA , passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born July 17, 1931, the youngest son of Joseph and Sophie Burnal Guss, in their farmhouse in Douglassville, PA. Henry was an avid outdoorsman, an owner operator of Spring Valley View Farm, a successful dairy farm in Mansfield, PA. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred Horchak Guss; his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Steven Whipple of Mansfield, PA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Suzann Guss of Mansfield, PA, and granddaughter, Kristina (Justin) Peters of Williamsport, PA. Henry is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and six brothers; John, Michael, Walter, Morris, Anthony, Joseph and sister, Sophie Guss Eddinger of Douglassville, PA. At Henry's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
