Obituary of M. June Abreu

M. June (Burt) Abreu, age 82, of Mansfield, PA, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at her home with her family. June was born June 13, 1930 in Franklinville, NY, a daughter of H. Plynn and M. Marie (Pfitzenmaier) Burt. She would have celebrated 54 years of marriage to Arthur Abreu on November 8, 2012. June retired as a secretary for the Mansfield District Magistrates office in 1995. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, word find puzzles, and playing games with her grandchildren. June is survived by her husband, Arthur; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Bunny Yoder of Delaware; 2 daughters, Mary Abreu of Troy, PA, Patricia Doud and husband, Scott of Mainesburg, PA; 2 grandchildren, Tyler S. Doud and Brittany M. Doud; sister-in-law, Helen Burt. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Russell P. Burt, Jack S. Burt, Robert E. Burt, and a sister, Betty V. Andrews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 3:30 P.M. in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA with Mr. Dale Harper officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848.
