Obituary of Lena A. Owens

Lena A. Owens, age 84, of Covington, PA, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1928 in Mansfield, PA, a daughter of Harry and Hazel Paris. She celebrated 64 years of marriage to Edmond F. Owens on April 3rd, 2012. Lena had worked at Elmira Chrysler Plymouth as a bookkeeper, and the Day Care at Covington Community Center. She was a member of the Covington Church of Christ (Disciples) for 30 years. Lena enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing bingo and camping. Lena is survived by her husband, Edmond; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Sharon Owens of Elmira, NY, James and Maureen Owens of Covington, PA; 2 grandsons, Keith (Jaimie) and Timothy (Kim) Owens; 2 great grandsons, Bryan and Michael Owens; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Janice Paris of Mansfield, PA; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Eula Colegrove of Wellsboro, PA, Mary and Lester Copp of FL, Myra McDonald of Syracuse, NY. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Paris, and a sister, Ruth. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A prayer service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Ira Hindman officiating.
