Obituary of Helen L. Gee

Helen L. "Cookie" Gee, age 79, of Tioga, PA, died on Monday, June 24th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Cookie was born on May 1, 1934, the daughter of Gilbert and Harriett Updyke. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Harold "Pete" Gee and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Gee. Cookie was the owner and operator of Wild Animal World Safari, Scenic View Campground and Tioga Ranch. She was a long time member of the Tioga Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron, a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the Tioga Fireman's Auxiliary. Cookie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Carl, (Vicky) Gee, Mike (Kathy) Gee, Carman (Mureena) Gee, Mark Gee (Fiance, Raquel Carleton), Scott (Kristi) Gee, Rodney (Kimberly) Gilbert, and daughter-in-law, Sheila Gee; grandchildren, Angela (Jody) Gorg, Meredith Gee, (fiance, George Lamprinos), Heather (Ryan) Short, Mark (Cindy) Gee, Ashley (Andrew) Moya, Derek (Marsha) Gee, Christopher, Lindsey, Chase, Corey, Kimberly Gee, Brooke, Sara Gilbert; great grandchildren, Jake, Carl, Wyatt Gorg, Bailey, Kaegan Short, Lincoln Moya, Olivia, Emmalyn Gee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph "Bud" (Bonnie) Updyke, Douglas (Janet) Updyke, Walter (Phyllis) Updyke, Dale (Barbara) Gee, Larry Gee, (Elliott) Jane Buffard; one sister, Lenna Fletcher, and a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Gee. She was also predeceased by a brother-in-law, Gerry Fletcher. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral chapel with Rev. Douglas Hodge officiating. Burial will be made in the Nelson Cemetery.
