Obituary of Arlene Marcinkevicz

Arlene May Marcinkevicz, of Mansfield, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 1, 2016. Arlene was born February 26, 1925 to the late John A. and Hazel (Keene) Wagner in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, John, whom she married in May 1948. They were married 42 years until his death in 1990. She was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church, Mansfield, PA. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Sharon (James) Davies of Mansfield, PA; a son Edward of Batavia, NY; 3 grandchildren, Stephen (Mary) Davies, Tammy (Dale) Short, Matthew (Brandie) Davies; 6 great grandchildren, Alan, Sara, Mellissa, Jasmine, Jonathan and Lucas; 2 great great grandchildren, Grayson and Sophia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her only sister, Hazel Green, in 2015. Arlene was a generous, devoted, kind and loving person. She loved to cook, crochet, sew, gardening, playing board games, watching her favorite TV shows, and reading. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the deer. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Bryan Wright officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA.
