Obituary of Geraldine M. McGuinn

Geraldine Mae (Clark) McGuinn, born May 11, 1934, died Sunday June 19, 2016, age 82. "When you are born, you cry and the world rejoices. Live your life so when you die, you rejoice and the world cries!" This is what "Jerry" did; she touched the lives of many people, and helped those who needed it. She taught the lesson of unconditional love and compassion. Jerry worked at Bucks County Community College, The Breakers Hotel in Florida, The Dutch Pantry, and The Green Home in Wellsboro before her retirement. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, who enjoyed cooking for people, cracking hickory nuts, puzzles, bingo, fishing with her grandsons and playing with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, John A. Sr. and Goldie Mae (Beegle) Clark; her husband Thomas L. McGuinn, on August 5, 2002; a daughter, Marybeth; triplet sons, Michael, Leo and Frank; 4 brothers, Bud, George, Jim, and Paul; 2 infant sisters, Dorothy and Martha, and an infant granddaughter who died at birth. She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter, Thomas (Carol) McGuinn of Mansfield, PA, Robert McGuinn of Oregon and Susan Hess of Florida; a brother, John A. Clark Jr. ; 2 sisters, Norma (Allen) Baker Bedford and Mildred Stanko Bedford, PA; 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Theresa, Christina, Richard, Cassie, and Harley; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Zachariah, Nichole, Elizabeth, Michael, Michaela, Cordell and Wayde ; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brayden and Derek. "There is no death, only a change of worlds. They are not dead who live in the hearts they leave behind. Our first teacher is our hearts." The burial will be at Saint Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Friends Cove, PA. A memorial service will be held at a later date, for details and information call Thomas McGuinn 570-662-3924.
