Obituary of Catherine M. Rusk

Type Obit Here Catherine M. Rusk, age 63, of Mainesburg, PA, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Williamsport Hospital. She was born October 20, 1952 in Bethlehem, PA, a daughter of Richard M. and Deloris (Tolan) Royer. Catherine was the wife of James Wayne Rusk, III. She graduated from Mansfield University holding a Masters in Music and was a recognized Performance Artist as a Clarinet player. Catherine was employed as a paralegal/manager for Susquehanna Legal Services for 34 years in Wellsboro and Mansfield, PA. She was honored by her peers state-wide with the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network Award for Excellence for her outstanding work as an advocate for the legal needs of the indigent in Tioga County. Catherine was an avid and talented golfer and member of the Corey Creek Golf Club where she leaves behind many devoted friends. In addition to music and golf, she enjoyed photography. Catherine is survived by her husband, Wayne; sister-in-law, Jacqueline S. Royer of Princeton, NJ; brother-in-law, Bill Rusk, Sr. of Crescent Springs, KY; nephews, Daniel and Matthew Royer; a niece, Katherine Royer. She was predeceased by her parents, and 2 brothers, Philip and Richard John Royer.
