Obituary of Robert A. VanNoy

Robert Allen VanNoy, age 75, of Mansfield, PA, died March 24, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was born January 30, 1942 in Canton, PA a son of Harold Bob and Madelyn Pat (Bellows) VanNoy. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet (Mase) VanNoy. Bob was a graduate of Canton High School in 1959; served in the U.S. Army in Germany; served with the PA State Police from 1964 – 1991; was in the State Police Rodeo in Hershey, PA from 1964 to 1969. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, enjoyed Nascar and was a fan of Dale Earnhart, Jr. Robert is survived by his wife, Janet; son Bobby VanNoy, Jr.; a step-son, Jeffrey Morris and wife, Angel of Sewell, NJ; step-grandson, Jeffrey Morris, II of Sewell, NJ; finance', Michelle Sauro; a sister, Cleone Schwiekart of Canton, PA; aunt and uncle, Martha and Ron Weeks of Elmira, NY; sister-in-law, Debbie Gardner of Canandaigua, NY; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jones, Sally Payne, Joan Read of Mansfield, Carole and Bob Thomas of Horseheads, NY, brother-in-law, Ed VanDeventer of Horseheads, NY; special niece, Patty Hutcheson of Mansfield, PA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Patricia Stage; step-father, Max Bellows, step-brother, Jerry Bellows; and a step-son, Steven Morris. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel And Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
