Obituary of Brian C. Hershey

Brian C. Hershey, age 63, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at his home. He was born on March 28, 1960 in Hanover, PA, a son of Charles and Evelyn (Dayhoff) Hershey. Brian was married to the late Lois Hershey who passed away on December 15, 2016. He was a behavior support specialist for Wellspring Community Support Services. Brian enjoyed hunting, shooting, photos of animals, gardening, squirrels, and knives. For many years, Brian and Lois enjoyed organizing and running Helping Hands for needy children in the area. Brian is survived by his sons, Ryan (Brandy Reed) Hershey of Ulysses, PA, and Shawn (Abbi) Hershey of Oklahoma City, OK; a daughter, Melinda (Christopher) McNeely of Roseville, PA; two stepsons, Jack Machiewicz, and Richard Ellis; two stepdaughters, Julie Manthe of Elmira, NY, and Pamela (Donald) Corwin of Lawrenceville, PA; grandchildren, Addison Hershey, Camden Hershey, Dennis Hughes, Korrigan Hershey, Carson Thompson, Blake Hershey, Haley Wood, Samuel Wood, Anthony McNeely, and Christian McNeely; a brother, Ronald (Laura) Hershey and their daughter, Karissa Hershey of Hanover, PA; and a sister, Sharon Hershey of Hanover, PA. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 6-7pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Ed Siddle officiating.
