Obituary of Layanah Irene Griffin

Layanah Irene Griffin, age 19, of Knoxville, PA, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 15, 2003 in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of Jennifer Griffin. Layanah was a student at Mansfield University. In high school, she was a cheerleader and a member of the band and chorus. She enjoyed her animals, drawing, writing stories, and gaming. Layanah is survived her mother, Jennifer of Campbell, NY; two brothers, Haven Wallace of Pottstown, PA, and Greyson McLaughlin of Campbell, NY; stepfather, DaRon Wallce of Pottstown, PA; grandmother, Gloria Wallace of Philadelphia, PA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Selena Irene Rodriguez. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Cleveland Way officiating.
