Obituary of Oliver Marble Sr.

Oliver Marble, Sr. age 62, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at The Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on September 25, 1961 in Blossburg, PA, a son of Lewis and Esther (Tongue) Marble. Oliver was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, and racing. Oliver is survived by his son, Oliver (Elizabeth Goodwin) Marble, Jr. of Canton, PA; a grandchild, Kevin Marble; girlfriend Dawn Seeley of Blossburg, PA; a brother, Roger (April) Marble of Mansfield, PA; and a sister, Floral Irene "Flo" Root of Elmira, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Quincey Root and Steven Marble; and two sisters, Cathy Gotschall and Mary Young. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1pm, meet at the pavillion of Woodland Park, Wellsboro.
