Obituary of Leland J. Dixon

Leland Dixon, age 85 of Wellsboro, PA, died Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Broad Acres. He was born August 1, 1938, the son of David and Clara Mae (Bell) Dixon. Leland formerly worked at Corning Glass Works and was a meat cutter for many years. Leland was a member of the Wellsboro VFW and the Arnot Sportsmen's Club, and loved hunting, fishing, the NY Giants, and having his yearly fish fry with family and friends. He was married to Bobbie Dixon for 39 years. Leland is survived by his children, Theresa (John) Allen of Wellsboro, PA, Butch (Eva) Otis of Vine Grove, KY, Andrea "Sue" (Steven) King of Wellsboro, PA, Steven (Lynn) Otis of Wellsboro, PA, Leigh Bennett of Corning, NY, Joe Dixon of Corning, NY, Tami Dunlap of Johnsonburg, PA, and Kip Dixon of Corning, NY; sister Claramae (Paul) Campbell of Painted Post, NY; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bobbie Dixon, daughter Kimberly Otis, and six brothers and sisters: Dorothy, David, Howard, Ethel, Chester, and Glenn.
